Effects of Virtual Reality-Based Intervention Combined With Conventional Therapy on Upper-Limb Function in Children With Hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Randomized Controlled Trials.

A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials examined how virtual reality (VR)-based interventions combined with conventional therapy affect upper-limb function in children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy. The analysis found that adding VR to standard treatment produced measurable improvements in upper-extremity outcomes compared to conventional therapy alone. These findings suggest VR may be a valuable adjunct tool for pediatric PT clinicians managing hemiplegic CP.
